The South Coast Open was held over the weekend with 10 members and professional staff playing in the tournament. Bill Eppelstun was the best of the Catalina players shooting rounds of 72 & 74. Ben Henkel and Lincoln Tighe couldn’t be split after 36 holes, Ben made two clutch birdies on the 16th and 18th to join  club house leader Lincoln at 9 Under par. Ben triumphed after the first playoff hole earning the title and booking his spot into the NSW Open alongside Camron Smith at Murray Downs Golf Club. A new course record of 7 under par 65 was set by Ed Donoghue on Sunday in difficult conditions. A big congratulations to all the Catalina Club volunteers and officials on making the 2024 South Coast Open a great success. The club received great feedback from players and spectators on the condition of the course and the hospitality shown to all. A big congratulations to Darcy and his team for all their hard work leading into the event and over the weekend.
